  1. Problem with my HDMI connection

I’m currently having issues connecting my Xbox 360 to my Samsung tv with the hdmi cable.

It worked before and then one day just stopped working and now just says no signal.

I’ve read online that I should try to change the screen resolution on my xbox however, I can’t get onto the hdmi screen settings when I have the VGA cable plugged in and obviously if I have the hdmi cable plugged in I get a blank screen.

The tv recognises that the cable is plugged in and I’ve tested the hdmi ports with an Xbox one so I’m assuming it’s not the tv hdmi ports that are an issue.

Not sure if the Xbox hdmi port is broken or whether other people have experienced this and have a solution?

Watching Netflix on a big screen with poor resolution is painful

    :)

    Hardware problems on Xbox One

I had a problem with Live TV not working correctly. When I first set up the HDMI cables, I connected my cable box to the XB1. Live TV worked off and on. Video would freeze or I'd receive a black screen. Once, I even received a message saying my cable box wasn't connected to the XB1, when clearly it was. I looked around for others having that problem and found a solution which worked. At first, I didn't have the HDMI cable packed with the XB1 plugged into both my cable box and XB1. I simply used the cable I've been using. When I made the change and used a Monster HDMI cable from the XB1 to the TV, everything worked! Right now, my biggest problem is taking time to configure Kinect correctly.

    xbox faulty

Sorry to hear about your problems. Sounds frustrating. Did you connect it straight to a tv with the supplied HDMI cable? I had some flicker issues and it was the HDMI cable. I mean it is possible you got two bad systems, but it is also possible you have a couple of crappy HDMI cables lying around your house, like I did.

    Problem with my HDMI connection

    Hi

As long as you have used a known good HDMI cable then can you try and reset the display settings using the instructions below. If this does not help can you please follow all the steps in this

    troubleshooting guide
    and hopefully this will help.

    1. Remove any discs from the disc tray.
    2. Turn off the console.
    3. Turn on the console.
Note If you are using an Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, turn on the console by using the Guide button on the controller. Make sure that you use the player 1 controller when you do this. The player 1 controller
will have the upper-left light illuminated.
    4. As the console starts, on the controller, press and hold Y while pulling the right trigger. The display settings are reset to the default settings, and then the console automatically restarts.

    XBOX ONE LOSING TV SIGNAL

I had a problem where my TV was shuddering and freezing. Connecting the included Xbox HDMI from the cable box to the Xbox and then a good HDMI from the Xbox to my TV fixed this problem for me.

    No Dolby Digital or DTS

Sorry but no - i have a samsung tv and a Denon Receiver. Connected the tv via optical cable, just like you, although hdmi would work in my case (i wanted the tv to handle all hdmi connections). When attaching the xbox via hdmi to the tv i had the exact same
problem you had - only stereo sound. Solution: connected the xbox to my Receiver via hdmi. The funny thing is: both xbox360 and ps3 had no problem with connection to my tv via hdmi.

Imo the xbox one has been poorly designed. This is not even half as bad as the problem that i cannot use live tv with a smart tv with integrated ci+ module...

Sound issue with the Stereo headset adapter

Yes the controller + adapter is up to date. The problem seems to be connected to how the console handles the hdmi output. It seems when the connection is not present anymore the console disables the output.

If somebody could test this on their console it could be really helpful. Basically change the input on the TV or Receiver the xbox is connected to and check if the headset still plays the xbox audio.

Maybe the issue is connected to my HDMI receiver and how it handles hdmi-switching. I also tried to disable HDMI-CEC and ARC but the problem still exists.
