    Problem with my gamertag

    I've had Xbox Live since 2006. my gamertag was SmittyPimp. it's a username i use for almost every thing online. today i get a message saying that i can no longer use that user name because it violates a new policy or something like that. i've had SmittyPimp
    as my gamertag for 5 years. there's no hint of profanity or anything offensive in that name. i'm going by the username Shotgunn Smitty for now. i would really like to have my gamertag SmittyPimp back because it's a username that I and everyone else I know
    identify with. can you someone help me with this.

    Given the number of "protests" about it, it seems the Policy Enforcement Team recently did a sweep of all "pimp" gamertags. You can't have it back, as the terms you agreed to say that your profile can't contain sexual references, which is the most
    common connotation of that word. At least you didn't go for some variation of it-- after too many FNCs, they would just ban your profile permanently.

    http://enforcement.xbox.com However, if the enforcement team upholds their decision, you will have to pay if you want to change the tag. There is no way around that.

    So apparently the problem lies within my gamertag. It's not banned or suspended or anything, but for some reason my gamertag is what's causing the game to stop working. I've tried logging into an alternate gamertag on the same Xbox and the game was running
    fine.

    This is still a problem though, as my main (paying) gamertag won't work with the game. Anyone know if Bioware is aware of such problems?

    Are you sure you didnt change it because

    is not a randomly generated name.

    Randomly generated names are a variation of an Adjective+Animal+Number for example HappyFawn123.

    isnt a gamertag that would have been randomly given but chosen
    Well, i didnt choose it. I wish i could change it because i just bought this xbox and i dont want to pay extra for changing my name
