    If you have registered an account in xbox live service as child account you can't change that by changing the birthdate under your profile data. Once the servers register your account as under 18+ they will calculate the years it remains for your account
    to be upgraded.

    Unfortunately there is no way to change a child account to an adult account as it goes by the original birthdate you put in while making the account.

    If your birthday is correct and you verified your an adult through the verifications process it should classify you as an adult. The only other reason I can think of is your account is linked into a family account as a child or sub account. If this is
    the case then it does not matter your age you will always be classified as a child. I would try and reach our to Microsoft's support at https://support.xbox.com/en-US/ to see if they can resolve your account problem
