    Problem with Microsoft Rewards app on Series S


    Hi everyone!

    I'm having problems when I try to use the Microsoft Rewards app on my Xbox Series S (I've been using it for months and everything was always OK). The issue is when I open the app, a message appears and says "Update your console's location. Go to System, Settings, System, Language & location to match it to your current location". Then I go there to configure it and I check everything is OK. I've never change anything on this configuration and my Internet server is actually the same one than when the app was fine. So since last week I can't open the app. That message always appears on my screen and my configuration is OK.

    I tried uninstalling the app and re-installing, restarting the console, etc... but it doesn't work.

    Does anyone know what it's going on and how to fix it?

    • Rewards app and points offers are available only on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S consoles.
    • Buying items from the Microsoft Store on Xbox or searching on Bing.com may not earn points in all countries or regions.
    Still If you have any problems with the Microsoft Rewards app, or with earning points or redeeming them for rewards, go to Microsoft Rewards support

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

    To fix this, please perform a power cycle on your console by following the steps below:

    POWERCYCLE CONSOLE​​​

    ​​​

    1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off. ​​​

    2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller. ​​​

    If that didn't work resetting the console keeping games and apps will be the next option. Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

    Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

    Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

    Select Reset console.

    Reset and keep my games & apps.
