Problem with installing minecraft on Xbox one

I am trying to install minecraft onto the Xbox one. I put the disk in and it says it will get the game ready, but it immediately pops up a message saying something went wrong, and to put the following error code on at Xbox.com. The code gives a couple
of instructions regarding profile etc for Xbox 360, but nothing regarding Xbox one, help!

minecraft disk can't be downloaded to console

I found this thread on the Minecraft forums:

It seems like installing disc-based Xbox Live Arcade games is not a supported feature, and that would be why you cannot install it. The games need to be run off the disc.

I have problem... I activate my code for minecraft windows 10 version and i can't play this minecraft on my xbox one s,, he told me i must buy this game. Minecraft Windows 10 is not compatible with xbox one version?

I have the same issue on Xbox One. Minecraft is already installed but takes me to update and stalls. I’ve try uninstall and install, same problem

Hello, Yohaan here a fellow Xbox gamer, to help with your issue today.

If your on console there are 2 Minecraft versions available. The first being Minecraft for xbox one and the other being Minecraft (Beta). If your problem persists just install Minecraft for xbox one on your console and that should fix your issue.

Note:You can have both apps installed at the same time.

Hi Christopher. Like it wasn't a problem with Xbox, it was with the installer. I did not even install Minecraft Dungeons. The problem occured when I was installing it.
