Problem with Gold membership seemingly have cancelled for some reason

In April I purchased a years subscription to gold on my Xbox via paypal, one month later £5.99 was removed from my Paypal account via Microsoft, at which point I set up a dispute on PayPal as I didn't know what this transaction was for. This was then resolved,
PayPal telling me that it was part of a 'Billing Agreement' and they had cancelled this billing agreement and a nice gesture would refund the £5.99. I then logged onto my Xbox live account online (just now as I'm not home to play on my Xbox a the moment) at
which point I noticed I was now only on a silver membership, I don't know why this has happened as I had purchased a years subscription which seemingly set up a new billing agreement charging me a monthly subscription on top of my already purchased year subscription.
Has this happened to anyone else? How should I go about resolving it?

Lost xbox live gold membership

just yesterday, 2/2/18, I had Xbox gold, which renewed on Christmas so I should have a long time before I have to renew it, I get on xbox today, 2/3/18, and now it says I have to upgrade to gold, my gold membership has been cancelled for some reason, why
and how do I fix this?

i've booked some credit to my account, for the reason to buy gold

so my problem is that i seemingly can't pay the cost of gold with my paid in credit,

it seems so far that i only can pay with my creditcard, which i don't have, as well as no paypal

anybody an idea what to do, without any foolish comments

They'll be able to look into your account and see what exactly happened, and will be able to help you resolve the issue.

 

Can you verify that you were charged the full price for the yearly subscription as well? It sounds like you purchased a one month recurring membership that will recur for one year.

 

Yes I paid the full £39.99. I have also noticed I was incorrect in my OP the £39.99 was taken on 20th may and then the £5.99 wasn't taken a month later it was taken on 30th may, I'd assumed it was a month after as I had forgotten when exactly I'd bought
the year membership.
