Problem with getting black screen when my console is on

then that's the problem if your tv doesn't support 120hz that's why you get a black screen and it doesn't work. The same happens to me with an old console I play my dad's ps3 sometimes it doesn't support 1080p only 720p. Basically the screen goes black when i try to change it to 1080p so kinda the same thing

Does this work if it loads to a black screen only. On March 2nd I cold rebooted my console, due to lag on the tv side. When I turned it on the screen stays black. Light on console comes on and make the sound when power button is pressed. After that just
a black screen.

I have the same problem! Worked fine yesterday playing Halo 4 at 18.00. Tried to play at 23.00 and got the black screen when trying to play Halo 4 again. I tried again, and nothing... Installed the game to the harddrive (as I suspected the CD to be broken).
Launched the game again, BLACK SCREEN.

Now I suspected that it was the console that was *** up. I tried different games and I get black screen on everyone. Like other says; the console is freezing when trying to get to dashboard from the black screen so you need to shut down the 360 and start
it up again. It does not matter which profile is logged in or if I am offline when trying to launch the game from the dashboard, it always gives the black screen!

Only solution to get in to the game is to set the 360 to play CD when starting the console. However, I have a lot of downloaded games which I cant play now. Have someone find any solution?

I too have this problem, also when starting xbox beta get the green screen and logo then black screen

I got this problem too, it wont let me even sign in most of the time but when it does my screen goes black and i have to restart my console again
