Problem with first update on XBOX ONE S

Hello,

As described in the subject of this message, I'm currently experiencing problems in the completion of the first update of my xbox one S.

Since the day I've purchased this device, I've been in a lot of troubles making it running properly.

I don't know if that matters, but I bought it in Germany and brought it back to France, where I live.

My device is just back from a service order, made in Germany, late August.

The update fails with a 0x87DD0016 error, at every try. (and there were so many unsuccessful ones)

I've been doing previously the offline update, with the USB stick, and everything went fine. Then I've been redirected to the homepage, I've selected the language and I've connected the xbox to internet (wifi).

Why is it so complicated? I've almost never played with my device since one year because I cannot make it running.

Why is this critical update not previously installed, so as to have a working system right at the beginning?

I would recommend connecting via an ethernet patch cable to your router. If your WiFi signal drops for a very short period of time, then the update will fail.

As for why they don't come with updates installed, this is due to the fact that updates are constantly being released through a year. Your console may have been manufactured prior to a new update release and therefore on setup, the console checks to ensure
that everything is updated to the latest operatingh system.

I am having the same problems here with my Xbox One S and my Samsung KS8000.

The first time I used my Xbox One S HDR was fine. After a preview update the problem appeared. I reverted back to the normal update and still same problem.

I changed some video settings like putting 12 bit colors and now the HDR problem looks solved. But definitely the Xbox one S has some HDR issues.

I got an update on my LG which is an UH8500. This update fixed the issue. No update on Xbox One S so that suggests it's an LG problem and not an Xbox issue...Bombard LG with this, it appears to be their fault...

Not true. I have a Samsung TV and I have the exact same problem, first with my s and now with my Scorpio.

I'm having the same problem bro, I bought a new xbox one S today and it doesn't update, it stops at 904mb and gives the same error. It is a problem on the console?
