  1. Problem with Family Gold sharing and Privacy Settings


    I have recently bought an Xbox Gold subscription and set my XBox one to my Home Xbox. However, the only way I can find for my two sons to play multiplayer games with their friends is to set all of their privacy settings to ‘Allow’ or for ‘Everyone to see/access
    everything they do. The online support people told me to play with the settings to find out what works. I am somewhat staggered that Microsoft don’t have a more simple solution to this problem say the ‘Teen’ setting allowing access to the games and multiplayer
    mode but blocking any access to strangers. Has anyone come across an easy fix for this yet? It would appear I am not alone!

    This just worked for me!!!!!!!

    Uploaded clips are visible to all Xbox Live users. You control sharing of clips through your Privacy & Family Safety settings:

    1.Say “Xbox, Go to Settings,” or select Settings from the Home screen.

    2.Select Privacy & family safety.

    3.Select Customize.

    4.Select Share game clips.

    5.Choose to Allow or Block

    Make sure it's under the "Other people" section too

    We're having the same problems. My daughter used to have her own gold account, but is now setup under family. Her privacy settings are set to allow online multiplayer gaming.

    Hello! The Xbox family is a shared Xbox setting, such as if you, your brother and your sister all had different accounts on the same Xbox, an only one of you had gold, being in a Xbox family would share the gold amongst the accounts on Said Xbox.

    What would solve your problem would be if you and your relative set your relatives account's home Xbox to your Xbox. Then you would share gold, games ect!

    If you have already changed the privacy settings, please log out the Xbox app and then reset the Xbox app and the game

    Step 1: Open the Settings app. This can be done by clicking its icon in the Start menu or simultaneously pressing Windows logo + I.

    Step 2: Click the Apps category icon and then click Apps & features to see all installed apps as well as classic desktop programs.

    Step 3: Click on the app that you want to reset to see the Advanced options link. Click on the same (advanced options link).

    Step 4: Finally, click the small Reset button. When you click the Reset button, you will find a small dialog box with “This will permanently delete the app’s data on this device, including your preferences and sign-in details.” Click the Reset button in the opened dialog box to reset the app.

    Step 5: Once the Reset is done, you will see a check sign next to the Reset button. And restart the Pc
