Problem with fallout 3 update

i've got Fallout 4 and a download card for Fallout 3. I used the download card code in first and the game began installing. Then when I try to play it, it says I need to update. So I try the update and it now keeps telling me that there was a problem
with the update. I checked my connection and it says it is fine, but it still wont update. How can I fix this problem?

Freezing problem

It's a fallout problem. or more specifically with bethesda, fallout 3 had this problem. you just have to get used to it. installing it is good, but it's even better if you have all updates including the title update

 

Fallout 3

Does anyone have a problem with this game Freezing after ten or more minutes into the game. This only started after a update of fallout 3.

 

I have this same problem, but nobody has responded to my post. It is quite frustrating. A little glad I'm not the only one with this problem. Really hope someone responds and helps with this issue.

 

here buddy. I sat in a chat line for 15 mins to get someone to fix this.

Here's how:

To clear the cache, on the Xbox One Dashboard, please go to Settings >> Disc and Blu Ray >> Blu Ray >> Persistent Storage >> Clear Persistent Storage. After this, please go to Settings >> Network >> Advanced Settings >> Alternate MAC >> Clear Alternate MAC
>> Then restart the console.

After I followed those instructions I started Fallout 3 up and there was no problem.

Are you still having trouble installing the update? If you're still having trouble please try uninstalling the game completely and re-install it. Let us know if that helps

 

there was never an update needed. The bad data that was removed by clearing the cache was the culprit in the false update message.
