Problem with download of games

Hi,

I recently bought Assassins Creed Unity digital version. The download started, but stopped at 23%. I deleted it and started the download agai, but it stopped again at 23%. Did this now 4 times, always stopped at 23%.

Since it did not work, I bought Far Cry 4. Download started, but stopped at 34%! Deleted it and started it again, stopped again at 34%.

So I thought I better buy a game on disc and forget about downloads. Bought Halo MCC. When it started the update, it got stuck after 17% now!!! WTF!!

An idea why all my downloads stop after a while? Bandwidth use in the beginning is 20-30 MBit/s. After the download stops, it's down to 0-100 kbit/s.

An yes, I do have enough space on the HDD (over 100 GB free).

Problem with download of Halo

I started the download and it seems to be taking longer then most. I would attribute it to the heavy traffic on the server for the give it free starting today til end of the month. Don;t forget a few of the DLC that are free to. Just try again later if it
will not. I had the same problem with another Game for gold title. Cheers

Problem with download of Halo

So, good evening! I tried to download game both from the console and from the site. They say me that something came wrong, try another time or you're not available to download it. So, I have gold status and I think something is wrong. I need your help.

Sorry to hear it. You are aware that Halo is a 60GB download, right? I would suggest getting and external hard drive for your console to add more storage space. You can add up to 2 USB 3.0 drives ranging in size from 250 GB - 16 TB for extra room.

As for the downloads stopping, what is your gamertag's region (country) and which region do you physically live in? Some content is region locked and cannot be downloaded from a region other than it was intended for.

If the regions match try holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down then unplug everything from the console and let it sit for 5 minutes.

During that time, powercycle your modem/router by unplugging it/them for 10 seconds as well.

The region match could be it. My XBox is set to Germany, but I currently live in Saudi Arabia. So I try now to set the country settings to Saudi Arabia and try the download again. Hope that helps...

So, it did not help. Changed the region to Saudi Arabia and tried to redownload AC Unity - download stopped at 23%.

Then I tried turning off and unplugging the console. Did not help

Then I did a factory reset. Installed Halo MCC successfull while beeing offline. When yi went online, the download of the update (18GB) started but stopped after 17% again.

So, nothing worked so far... still have the download problems

You may need to contact phone support regarding this. This is because the digital versions of the games that you purchased are still the Germany ones. Perhaps they can help out with getting you the correct digital versions of the game.

What you and your friend have done is called Marketplace Theft and is against the ToU and CoC of the Live service. When the PET catch you, you both risk having your accounts and/or consoles banned permanently from Live.

Please try these steps:

- Delete the game

- Clear the system cache

- Delete your profile WITHOUT the associated Contents

- Download your profile again

- Download the game again in one go

Check your network setup, because such big files (like Games on Demand) need a good working constant connection.

Nice, thanks for the info.

Was curious as I also own an Xbox S and have had none of these issues with it during this time period.

Obviously many many people have had the issues I've posted over the past month.

Seems more likely an issue with the update for the Microsoft store having a bad time with my systems.

Obviously the issue isn't inherently with the Xbox X, but

I woundered if this update has had a bad time with the console.

The reason I wounder this is there's a store update waiting in the update menus after I factory reset.
