    Problem with Console Streaming - Phone app gatekeeping


    So I've joined the Xbox Insider Program, by downloading the Xbox Insider Hub app on my Xbox One, and the Game Streaming (preview) app on my phone, I've setup my console to enable streaming, and yet my phone app will still insist I need to join the program and gives me the "Learn More" button instead of letting me continue. Before you ask, I've power-cycled both the console and the phone numerous times but to no avail. Thoughts?

    Personally I use the twitch app on my phone and computer to watch people's stream. I haven't really tried to watch via console. I hope they fix this problem so people would be more enticed to watch streams on their Xbox because that sounds like a pain!

    they only problem with the direct tv app if it's anything like the current tablet and phone apps is only certain channels will be available for live streaming.

    Hi, I don't think this is possible at the moment. In the future it should be possible to stream to a tablet or phone using https://www.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-game-streaming/console-streaming but
    this is currently in preview so is still in the testing phase at the moment but might potentially be a solution to your problem if you have a spare compatible phone or tablet. I'm not sure if the console streaming will support console to console streaming.

    I have found a work around. Load up youtube app on your phone, play any video, stream video from phone to xbox. Bypasses all problems and works fine after.
