Problem with basically everything...

Hey there!

I'm an Xbox one owner since the launch day in my country (that was in sept, Hungary), and I've been having problems ever since, and now I'm starting to get frustrated.

I understand that clearly, that not all apps or games are available in all regions, but I bought the device with the (as it appears) false promise, that I will be getting the same basic functionality as others in different regions. Oh boy, how wrong was
I... I'm not talking about apps or games, I'm talking about core features.

Let's see:

1. no "featured" stuff anywhere. I can live with this one, it's just mildly annoying, as eg. Upload shows the button: "featured clips/featured creators" but it just throws and error code, which I might add is NOT IN THE LIST OF ERRORCODES. Quite intriguing
   huh? It's just strange how this is handled and not available, for no apparent reason.
   
2. friends list and activity feed. This is where things start to get interesting. The activity feed should work like a "facebook timeline" am I right? So it should show things like achievements I (or my friends) unlocked, clips shared (oh, that will
   be the next point), so on and so forth. Right? WRONG. It doesn't do any of that, just who became friends with who, and honestly I don't give a *** about that, but the other stuff (that was actually promised it would deliver) are sorely needed. Why is it
   missing? No idea, and no reason. Also: popular with friends? Nope, as it appears "you and your friends have not played anthing recently"... uh-huh. As I'm yelled at from time to time by my wife to "STOP PLAYING THAT STUPID GAME", I declare that statement to
   be complete BS. Yet again: core functionality missing here, for no apparent reason.
   
3. sharing. As I have mentioned, I expected (well, it was marketed as such) the activity feed to work like a FB timeline. So sharing clips, thoughts and my progress in games should be a thing. Well, it's not. As I tried time and time again to share
   my clips on my feed, it just pops an apologetic window: "something went wrong, blablabla we're sorry blablabla". And I don't see the shares of my friends either. So what is even the point of Upload if there is no way that I can see what my friends were doing
   without going to their profiles and checking it one by one. again: core functionality
   
4. twitter and showcase. Oh I was so glad when they said they will be bringing twitter integration to the xbox one, cos I figured: if I can't share it on my feed well, there's twitter for you. Well, apparently not, as there is no option to share on
   twitter. Not even an error which I got more and more accostumed to seeing, but no, the button is missing. And also I can't use my showcase either, so there's that... I'm getting tired of repeating the same thing but again: core functionality.
   

But what boggles my mind is that when I switch regions on the console to the US, or UK or whatever, these stuff just work. I'm not sure why are we being excluded but there you go, that happens when you are a small market and nobody cares about you.

Make no mistake I get that access to some apps (like Netflix, Hulu bunch of streaming services, they are not even present in our country) need to be allowed from region to region. Also true with games, you know getting approval from the authorities and stuff.
But please explain to me why the hell are basic things missing? I bought the system for the same price (well, it's slightly higher if you take into account the 1USD=1EUR conversion rate) as everyone else, so why am I treated as a "second-class citizen"? I'd
really like to get an official response as this is starting to get ridiculous. We were promised to use our consoles as everyone else can, not as a subpar equivalent of the US Xbox. But if that's the case why aren't we getting a price cut? You know basic stuff:
less available stuff to do = lower prices. I'm not asking for any kind of refund as I actually enjoy playing games on this system, but I would also like to use the stuff that was promised and which were some of the reasons I bought this one and not the "other".

Error 0x80072F8F. Console is bricked.

Having the same problem here. Tried absolutely everything but no joy. Basically being told it has to be repaired!

 

GTA IV disc unreadable problem

this isn't helping the loading problem. not sure. i cleaned off my disc, then restarted my xbox. i basically everything but nothing worked.
