I recently purchased a new 3-month gold card,.. when trying to redeem, I get the error of a problem with Xbox store or service!!

Problem Activating Prepaid Card

I purchased a 3month Live Membership from Best Buy and I get error code 801613FB. It states sorry sometimes there's a delay in getting cards activated. If it doesn't work 24 hours after purchase. You'll need to ask the store to activate it. I contacted support
at microsoft they had me check my billing log out log in .. got same code they looked into it and couldnt tell me anything. Told me not to wait 24 hours and go back to the store they couldn't do anything for me. I went back to best buy today they said they
can't do anything for me because once you scratch off the card for the code they wont take it back and they wont give an even exchange. They state when the cashier scanned the bar code on the card it was automatically activated and that microsoft has to help
me. So now no one is helping me and I'm out the money I paid for the 3 month membership. Someone help me before I make a very big stink and get the law firm I work for inolved in this. It's no longer the money it's the principal of the matter this should not
be happening and a big company like micorsoft should do something for me immediately. This is not acceptable.

Gold cards are not restricted by region. Only points cards. What is the error code you are getting? I have heard that in the States cards must be activated by the retailer so perhaps that is your problem.

No you can't stack gold cards on top of an active xgu

Having an active xgu membership means you can stack only xgu cards

There is no conversion rate for xgu cards only gold to xgu

Also, as long as the card is not attached to an active gold subscription you can remove the card. You can use prepaid gold subscription cards if they do want to play online.

Is this the account you activated the card on? If so, you're still showing as silver, not gold. Make sure you used both codes on the card. With cards like that there is one for the gold and one for the points.
