    Problem with 1 Backward Compatible Game


    I've purchased a couple of backwards compatible games, they've updated fine and I've played them and been able to save them just fine. Purchased Star Wars II The Original Trilogy, now I can play it no problems, but if I try to save it I get this error message:

    "You do not have an active gamer profile. You will be unable to save your game progress without an active gamer profile. To create or load a profile, press the Xbox Guide button. Press A to continue."

    I have signed into my profile before starting the game. I've even logged out of my profile, switched of console, switched back on and logged back into profile and I still get the same message. If there a way I can get an 'active gamer profile' so I can
    save this game? Thanks for any help given.

    Hello Gamer! Backwards compatibility means the version before the current which for example if an Xbox 1 game is backwards compatible it can be played with Xbox 1 and Xbox 360. Which means a backwards compatible game for the Xbox 360 can’t be played with
    an Xbox 1.

    Hey Kim,

    Thank you for reaching out. I understand you are unable to save your 360 game progress even though you were able to do so before. I'd like for you to try removing your 360 profile. You can do this by launching any 360 game and pressing down on the "view"
    and "select" buttons on your controller. This will bring up the Xbox 360 dashboard. Afterwards, simply head on over to your storage settings and look for your "profiles" folder and delete the corresponding Gamertag. Make sure to only delete the profile and
    no save data associated with it. Once you try signing back in, it will redownload your profile. Hope this helps! :D

    No problem. Just bear in mind that only games that are backwards compatible will be available. You can view a list of backwards compatible games here.
