Problem? Turtle Beach Don't sound good when plugged in with Genuine Adapter

I have bought the adapter for the XBOX ONE so I can plug in my PX21 Headset. Although they both work fine, voice chat & game volumes, but the sound coming through the headset does not sound right to me.

They work but it sounds like for example. If I'm playing a game and I have just survived a bomb explosion then you would think your ears will dim and you don't here any bass etc. Its like buying a good headset like the PX21 which i have and then they don't
work as good when you plug them in the xbox one. Can i fix this or??

Headset adapter cuts out during game-play

Yep. I got Turtle Beach XO Fours that are having the same issue. They're fine when plugged into my smartphone, but have those sound issues and crackling when plugged into the adapter.

Xbox One Headset- Can't hear anything

I am having the same issue. Here is my setup:

1.) Headset is plugged into a Turtle Beach DSS (Dolby Surround Sound Processor).

2.) Turtle Beach DSS is plugged into the Optical Audio port of the Xbox One.

3.) Headset's 3.5mm Mic cable is plugged into a 3.5mm (3 Position) to 3.5mm (4 Position) cable that is then plugged into the Chat Adapter.

My friend's can hear me talking (so the mic is working) but I cannot hear them. The Mute button works, but all other buttons make no sound. Turtle Beach says to hold the Chat Balance button until it beeps, but nothing happens (does not make a sound).

This is quite annoying.

Hello there,

How have you got your headset connected to the Xbox One? If you have them solely connected through the controller the problem may lie in the in line amplifier, whereby the sound coming in through chat will not be processed in the same way as the sound coming
in through "game". In this case I would suggest connecting them using the Audio out from your TV.

If you have set them up in this way, you will need to turn the game volume off through the Stereo Headset Adapter by holding down the chat button (bottom left) until it beeps.

Hi, i have no audio out on the back of my tv. Even if i did it that way i could not get chat.

Your right about by sound coming in through chat.

on xbox i just use my trusty turtle beach xo4 or xo7 pro headsets, good mic, the pro has awsome mic monitoring and thumping sound, but i do use the turtle beach adapter with sound settings, the xbox audio controls when plugged directly into the controller
are horrid.

@Maxen13 So I can buy the Turtle Beach XOFOUR which comes with the adapter, plug it in, mute the TV volume and all sound will come through the headphones?
