Problem turning on Xbox one..

I've had a problem twice now when turning my console on this month. When I go to turn on my console by the controller its not turning on. I have to turn the system on by pressing the button on the console. Once that's done the controller will finally turn
the system on and off. This has happened twice this month. I'm just wondering is there a problem with my console recognizing my controller?

Xbox Turning on Problem

My Xbox can turn on but won't show up on my TV/BlackScreen and can't connect with my controller and also not showing up online. My Xbox also can't turn of if I hold the power button down for 5 seconds, I have to hold it down for 10 seconds and it will turn
off

Same thing here. Just started this month. I've noticed it once. It's not happened again so I didn't worry about it.

Several people have been seeing this glitch that causes the system to seem to lose sync with their controllers. The controller comes on, the light is solid, but the system doesn't respond to any of your commands. A hard reset typically clears this up (hold
the power button on the console down for 10 secs, let it sit for 10 secs, then turn back on), but this does seem to be a software issue that should hopefully be cleared up in a coming patch.

Something to look out for also is the system not getting adequate power. This can cause all kinds of issues if you don't have the system plugged in correctly. By that I mean not having it plugged into a power strip or surge protector and directly into
a wall outlet. This will help the system to achieve adequate amperage so little glitches like this don't happen.

Let us know if you run into this again after trying these steps.

Same issue with me to, every week I have some other random glitch and man it is starting to annoy me, 360 was so solid am over the Xbox one but sadly the issues I have someone has same problems so I am not alone, very sad

having the same problem. Sometimes it is solved by unplugging the hdmi. I dont get it

I have this problem too. I hooked up my machine this morning and did the update etc. It locked up hard right off the bat with Forza requiring a hold the power button down to turn off reset. Ever since then it has been a pain to turn on requiring multiple
touches of the power button.

I did notice that it was not even sending a HDMI signal some of the time using a HDMI switch. I tried a direct connect and multiple HDMI cables and the Xbox One still has this issue.

I hope it is just a software issue that an update will resolve.
