Problem to use a key

No that is not the problem the person who has used my gift key is not me i have no hands on that account.

Something went wrong with microsoft's key protection and someone else got their dirty hands on my key.

That is the problem... Why cant microsoft delete a minecraft gift key on the other persons account?

Have you tried installing it on your computer before with the same key? Have you installed it onto a friends computer with the same key. I think what this problem means is that the key you are using to activate it has been used too many times to activate
the game, unfortunately if this is the case then that key is no longer available to install via that key.

So, there is no problem using free month keys coming with the xbox, but is a problem when i want to pay for more?

Was it a used game perhaps? you didn't state that in your post. Any game that comes with a codecard/sheet from a used game retailer, you can assume the code has been already utilized and in most cases has.

If you've installed the Games For Windows Client and tried redeeming the code that way, have you tried adding the dashes with the code?

That could be the problem.

But if not, as long as you have the original receipt and the UPC code is undamaged you should be able to send / email the company a copy of the purchase.

Example : Clear photo of original receipt from the retailer and the game's code you're trying to activate.

In some cases the company might require you to send them the original receipt.

But for this, if the place you bought it from is good with their customers you should be able to return the game and get another copy with a working code...but some retailers may say that once you opened the game...it's yours to bother with.
