problem to sign in with hotmail account

Hi.

I have problem with signing in. each time I write my name, email address and password - I cant sign in and I get the message that there is some problem with my credentials and I need to go in the web to "http//account.live.com to fix the problem"

Please help me, I don't know what to do,

i cant sign in!!! help!!

ok, so a while back LIVE sent me a message over xbox live and said that i needed to enter in a security code for my account so no one else could sign in to it. i ignored it. a few days ago i was at my friends house and i couldnt download my account. an error code popped up. now when i try to sign in to xbox live on my computer, it makes me go through all this crap. my email hooked up to xbox live is hotmail and it is microsoft too. i have to enter that stuff in my hotmail account too! Help!

Hotmail is part of Microsoft's network & any Hotmail account will Sign-in with no problems..

Have you tried signing in with your account at account.live.com?

Normally if it is saying to sign in there and you go there to sign in it will pop up a box telling you whats going on and tell you what you need to do to fix the problem.

It's your hotmail account, or whatever account you originally used to sign up for XBOX Live. When I signed up you had to exclusively use hotmail so I'm guessing you did the same.

You can user non hotmail addresses, but they need to be a windows live id befor you can use them to associate your account with them.

You can create a windows live id (Microsoft account) via this link:

https://signup.live.com/ and use the 'Or use an existing email address' option

When you have created the windows live id (Microsoft account) for your email account, you should be able to change your current windows live id on your gamertag to this new one..
