Problem switching account region

Earlier this week, i contacted a representative on this website via the live chat function as i was having problems 'purchasing' the free Xbox 360 Games with Gold for December. It turned out i needed to change my account region as i'd moved to Spain from
the UK earlier in the year. I did this, and was told by the representative that everything would work fine once a 24 hour period had elapsed for the changes to take place.

I tried again after 24 hours were up and i still have problems as now there doesn't seem to be a valid payment option on my account, despite the credit card being perfectly fine. I don't have a credit card here yet, only the UK. This card works for every
other payment i need it to in Spain so why not items on Xbox Live that don't even have any charge? Does this mean that my subscriptions to Xbox Live etc and any games i want to buy digitally won't work in future? Why isn't there a feature on the Xbox One console
to download the Games with Gold for Xbox 360 instead of the convoluted method of doing it from Xbox.com?

Needless to say, as a loyal, paying customer of Xbox and Xbox Live for many years i'm a little annoyed at how this has all worked out considering it was based off information and advice given by one of the representatives on this very website, with no indication
of this problem with a UK credit card being mentioned whatsoever.

Is there any way to fix this mess?

How can I equip a gift card amount on the Xbox store ?

You need to switch your account over to a US address and region, and then you should be able to use the amount from the US gift card on your account. Once you're done just switch everything back and you'll be back in your region with the game.

Its not you are supposed to read the warnings and contracts you sign including the migration tool

This is a tool meant for people who move not take advantage of offers you arent supposed to

Maybe you should start taking what you read seriously

The migration tool is not a joke nor is it a toy to be abused or temporary moves

You forfeit anyregion locked content you purchased in the othrr region

 

Sorry to hear it. Unfortunately the payment option must match your gamertag and physical region. I would like to recommend that you set up a Paypal account to use while you wait for a Spanish credit card.

 

Thanks for the reply, and suggestion. I guess that's my only option at this point, as i'm not planning on getting a Spanish card, i just don't need it. I'm just kind of annoyed at how this system works i suppose. Thanks again for taking the time to reply.
