    Problem setting Xbox One for Dev Mode


    I'm trying to setup an XB1 for dev mode. I installed the Dev Mode app on the XB1 and generate a activation code. But when I go to

    developer.microsoft.com/en-us/XboxDevi…     and click the Enter Activation Code button nothing happens.

    No dev mode activation app in store?

    Still nothing. I tried searching for every keyword you mentioned but still can't find it.

    The most annoying thing is that when I start typing dev it suggestes dev mode activation, and when I press it. It takes me to a page that it couldn't find it.

    Setting my xbox to home xbox didn't do anything for me.

    XBox One Developer Mode

    Hi All,

    I am a Quality Assurance Tester and I need to get my XBox One Dev kit up and going, so that I can QA my clients test builds.

    Right now I am completely unable to get the XBox One Manager Tool to detect / communicate with my Dev Kit, which is preventing me from loading any builds.

    However, the XBox One Dev Mode Companion (preview) tool works without any problem.

    I am running Febuary 2015 XDK QFE1: Version 6.2.1.3.6 on my XBox One Dev Kit

    I am running ADK 6.2.12136.0 on my Windows 10 Machine

    Both machines are hooked up to the same switch via Ethernet.

    I have no Firewalls or security blocking traffic.

    When I try to run the ADK commands (xbconnect, xbprovision) I get this error (0x8000001E). I also get this error when trying to get the XBox One Smart Glass to connect.

    Might be note worthy that I am able to run the Xbox Neighborhood Tool and deploy builds to my XBOX 360 Dev Kit without any issues at all, and have been doing so for years... Its just this XBOX One that is being a problem.

    Any help would be very much appreciated!

    Help please my xbox 1 cant leave dev mode i never got a settings or deleted it? As i have no leave dev mode button!!!

    Jerbear thanx for the reply but i already looked thru all that... My main question is why i was able to delete or never got cant remember the dev mode settings tab where it hav a big leave dev mode button... I also have no way to sideload.... This is a huge
    problem for evereyone on this dev mode as i cant get settings tab ???

    Well what I'm referring to is that all Xbox one consoles have a hidden developer setting in the console info settings and that it was found using a button combination using LB RB LT RT and I'm guessing this was for developers at the time before the dev
    mode activation app was made public and the concern is that If you accidentally or curiously changed the sandbox ID and it restarted to the sandbox mode where you have enable dev mode entirely because you can't enable dev mode if you in retail mode in sandbox
    mode yes but resetting the console back to retail defaults is concerning that you could possibly damage the console Xbox warned users to not change anything in the sandbox ID and I'm not sure if the hidden dev settings were official like the app

    Well if it can do more than just gaming including the dev mode and finding those settings is one of those things it can do? And no one is actually aware of those hidden dev settings how i know that is i came across that setting and i too was unaware that
    it existed on the console i just happened to press the LB RB LT RT sequence and they showed up as an extra setting and i didn't know the Xbox one could be used as a dev kit and those settings discovered years ago before the app and Microsoft was aware of the
    discovery of the hidden dev settings feature and decided to make the official dev mode app as that setting didn't fully turned the Xbox one into a dev kit and could brick or boot loop the console I'm sorry i just don't understand how these consoles work or
    what other features they have other than just gaming i trust Sony's PlayStation 4 because PS4 consoles don't have hidden developer settings or its features to get a PS4 dev kit you'll have apply to their developer program or sony account just like Windows
    account and but they're handed out by Sony as a separate console and i mean a special console type because dev kits don't come with retail PS4 consoles like the Xbox one does
