    PROBLEM SETTING UP XBOX S


    We have got the xbox s and have been trying to set it up all afternoon today..... we get to the email and we have tried my email for windows and tried to create a new one...neither have worked...cant seem to go on to next page after entering email...it
    doesnt register so we are stuck! Will anyone be able to help us please?

    I am having the same problem. I am setting up my son's new Xbox one s and got past the update section. Once we got to the account login and typed in email (for a valid account) it's like it freezes. I even tried to create a whole new email just to see
    and it still won't go any further. I have rebooted (several times) and even unplugged and reconnected.

    I am logged in on xbox.Com so no thatime didn't fix the problem.

    Hello LEO2256,

    Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. We recommend
    power cycling the console     by holding down the power button for ten seconds. Once the console starts up, try to go through initial setup. Be sure to let us know the results!

    Hi there,

    to be sure are you able to login to the email you want to use at www.xbox.com to see what that will do?

    If no Xbox Live Account exists it will likely go into the step for creating one for that email address and should allow you to set up things for the Xbox Live Account via the website.

    After that please try the manual power cycle steps like mentioned on the following link, be sure to wait at least 60 seconds before powering on again:

    http://support.xbox.com/en-us/xbox-one/console/power-cycle-console

    and try to see what happens when using the same account during setup of the console
