Problem setting up Xbox Live Gold 14 Day Trial

Hi there, I hope someone can help

I recently bought an xbox one (having not had any previous consoles), and it came with a code for a 14 day trial for xbox live gold. I went through the process of redeeming the free trial via the xbox website, and it said it was successful.

However, I now have no record appearing anywhere confirming that I now have access to xbox live gold, and when I'm on my xbox the only prompts are to buy a subscription.

Can anyone advise if there is an issue with these trials, or if there is somewhere else I should go/contact (I've tried the FAQ type info on the xbox site, but it hasn't helped so far)?

Also have the same problem with my 48 hour xbox live gold trial and my 14 day xbox live gold trial.

 

XBOX Live 14-day Gold Trial?

I redeemed the XBOX Live Gold 14-day trial that came with my XBOX ONE. I was wondering if there's some sort of setting automatically enabled from redeeming the 14-day trial that will auto renew in 14 days for a month or year? I can't seem to find it. I would
like to use a 12-month gold membership code after the 14 days are up.

 

Gold trials will not change your account status to gold. They only give you access to some benefits of online multiplayer. So really the only way to make sure it works is by trying to play online.

You should also be able to see the trial listed in your subscriptions at
http://commerce.microsoft.com.

In addition, free trial won't appear on your end since this is not a regular Gold subscription. You can check if the code was successfully applied by playing a game online. If prompted that you need to buy a Gold, contact Xbox Support for them to check your
account and validate the code. Chat support is open 24/7.
