problem playing games i installed from xbox store

hi, i bought 2 games from the xbox store during christmas these games where forza horzion 2 and far cry 4, i went on to play them and it said i need to update the games, i updated the games and then when i went to play it, it said insert
disc or purchase this game, can u please help i really like both these games and i paid for them and it wont let me play it. i dont have the disc as i bought them from xbox store and installed them. i am frustrated and stressed out. i already tried everything
and nothing seems to work. please help.

How much storage do the disc versions take up?

If i were to buy the games i have on disc, would my saved games etc still be ok?Click to expand...

Yes I installed from a borrowed set of friends launch day disks, had a few games before passing him the games back

Come home bout them in Xbox store and I was immediately able to play the game as it just installs the dd licence on your machine and makes use of the Hdd install to play the game

Dishonored ist nur auf Englisch [Translation: Dishonored is in English only]

The problem still occurred. I bought the game today in german xbox store and installed - it's still in English // Das Problem besteht immer noch und ich hab das Spiel heut frisch im deutschen Store gekauft und installiert. Es ist immer noch englisch. :-/

Hey, sounds like you may have purchased it on a different account or something? I'm assuming we're speaking about the Xbox One? If so, make sure the console is set to 'Home' setting as this will enable all accounts to access purchased content and even the
gold subscription:
support.xbox.com/.../my-home-xbox

If it's the 360, you might need to do a license transfer, which is similar to the home setting on the X1:
support.xbox.com/.../my-home-xbox

If its the 360 it could just be corrupted files (which happens with online downloads I have found) Go to system, memory, games and if you have yellow ! next to any of the stuff you downloaded delete it and redownload it. It should be free to re-download
but I stress the word "should".

Few days ago i play Minecraft without any problem. Same account, same console. I install it from store using my Xbox Store App. But now Minecraft doesn't work and Xbox allows install it onlfy from Android Xbox App. In my game library Minecraft doesn't exist rignt now, BUT in my Android Xbox App Minecraft still in my game library as purchased game.

Hi JeffMartin,

I'd had the same issue.
The problem at me was how I'd, or more from where I'd, installed the game.

Did install the game from the Microsoft App store.

After I played the game on XBOX one and wanted to continue on PC there was no saved games.

Couldn't find a proper solution so I'd deinstalled the game on PC and installed it from

the XBOX app.

Now the save game is available.

like for some reason, I can’t play Xbox one game discs cuss they won’t install. I can only install and play Xbox 360 game discs and games that have been installed from the store.
