Problem opening MineCraft worlds on Xbox One

Aside from the service outages declared on the link, this could be related to the network as well which is why I would like you to go through the following steps to clear your Mac address and perform a quick power cycle:



Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear it and the console should restart. It would definitely help if you could restart the internet router while the console is restarting.



After going through the troubleshooting steps mentioned, I invite you to perform a quick power cycle by turning off the console and then unplugging all the cables. After 2 to 3 minutes, re-plug them back again, then restart your console.

Another thing you should check is your NAT type. I would like you to check your NAT type if open because that could sometimes interfere. to check for the NAT type you can follow the steps below:



Settings > Network Settings > NAT type => It should be open.



If the NAT type is not open, you will need to open some ports with your internet provider. These ports must be open for Xbox Live to work: Port 88 (UDP) Port 3074 (UDP and TCP) Port 53 (UDP and TCP) Port 80 (TCP) Port 500 (UDP) Port 3544 (UDP) Port 4500
(UDP).

After a while of messing around I found a solution that works well enough. Ill write it here in case someone else has this problem in the future.

- hover over Minecraft and click start button (make sure you have closed Minecraft)

- open "Manage game and add-ons"

- click "save data"

- then "delete all"

- open Minecraft

- create a new world

- quit back to menu and your worlds should be working

(Note: the original world I was on when the Xbox unplugged is unplayable and if I click on it, it will continue the glitch and will not let me open any more worlds. I thinks it corrupted or something like that.)

Thanks, if you try creating a new world. Something similar happens once you re-open Minecraft or is this happening only with this specific world?

And, do you know if Minecraft received an update recently before this problem with your world started to happen?

Together with Mojang support I found out the problem why I do not manage to import my saved worlds on my Xbox One X in the online purchased version of Minecraft.

The Minecraft Xbox One version that you can buy online in the Microsoft store is a different version than the Minecraft Xbox One version you buy in the store (DVD). The online version is the so-called Minecraft (bedrock code base on xbox one) version.

To import the saved worlds, you first need to export the worlds on the Xbox 360 Minecraft version, import them into the Minecraft Xbox One Edtion import and then import old worlds into the Minecraft bedrock codebase version. (Minecraft Xbox 360 -> Minecraft
Xbox One Edtion -> Minecraft Xbox bedrock codebase).

You end up with a version that you do not use, but you can then sell it via e-bay to fellow gamers who have the same problem.

So it is possible and fortunately not as Microsoft indicated earlier that the worlds would be lost.

There are a few possible reasons why your Xbox One Minecraft world folders may not be appearing:

To check if the world folders are hidden:

Open the File Explorer on your Xbox One.
Click on the View tab.
Under Show/hide, check the box next to Hidden items.

If the world folders are still not appearing, they may be located on a different drive than your Xbox One system drive. To check for world folders on other drives:

Open the File Explorer on your Xbox One.
Click on the This PC icon in the left-hand pane.
Expand the list of drives and click on the drive that you want to check.
If the world folders are located on the drive, you should see them listed in the file explorer window.

If the world folders are still not appearing, they may be corrupted. To try to fix corrupted world folders, you can try the following:

Power cycle your Xbox One.
Uninstall and reinstall Minecraft.
Delete the corrupted world folders and try to reload them in Minecraft.
