Problem occurred while signing in

As the title suggests whenever I try to log in it says "A problem occurred while signing in. Please try again later." I know the "xbox core services" is currently limited, but I wanted to know if there was a temporary fix for whatever (excuse my language)
*** is up with the servers now. After trying to get on at 9, I got the error so I checked the status to see it was down. It said to try back in 30 minutes (it's now been 2 and a half hours) and it's still not working. It's not my account, as I can't sign
in with any four of my accounts. If anyone has a temporary fix for this ( as checked on my phone and saw friends on). Thank you for any help or fixes you have

I would suggest trying a couple things:

Look at this sticky: http://forums.xbox.com/xbox_forums/xbox_support/f/9/t/155724.aspx and do some of the suggested things there and if they fail, be sure to
copy and fill out the informatoin shown at the bottom of that thread.



1. Test your connection and let us know if you get any errors, etc.

2. Clear your system cache.

3. Try turning your router off for a few minutes then turning it back on.



4. Finally, try deleting and downloading your profile.
http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-360/settings-and-initial-setup/profile-move-delete. Intrusction on deleting are at the bottom of that linked page and downloading at the top. It is very important you select "DELETE PROFILE ONLY" for the final step of
deletion or you will lose everything associated with your account.

Sorry, but I'm afraid there's no temporary fix for this since it's an Xbox Live service interruption.

The best thing we can do right now is sit back and hope that the Xbox Staff can get to the bottom of this soon!

edit: oh wait it didnt... I'm so confused by these forums...

 

I am getting the intermittent disconnects as well. Here's what I did to get on after the major attack. I shut off the console, unplugged my modem and router for about 10-20 minutes. Then plugged my modem back in with no dsl line, nor Ethernet cables plugged
into it. Once it was fully up, I plugged in my router with no cables. Once fully up, plugged in every Ethernet cable (4 cables for me, small router) and powered up my 360.

Once the 360 up going, I went to System Settings and to the storage menu. Then I cleared the system cache 3 times on my hard drive. Then I deleted my profile (Profile Only; kept files) and redownloaded the profile. After that was done (it took 20 minutes),
I cleared the system cache again, then went in to test the Xbox Live connection.

After that, it was working for me for a while. Every once in a while it'll disconnect me as they are still working on the problems. But I don't have to reset anything now. Try these steps and see if that works for you.

 

If your going to own an xbox, you better have computer knowledge to do repairs. Too BAD!
