Problem Launching My Game

Hello to those reading,

My friend owns the game 'Call of Duty: Black Ops 2' as disk and also bought it from the market-place. Today he downloaded a copy onto a flash drive and told me to plug it into my XBOX 360 and to move the file onto my Hard Drive. I did so and after my game
moved, I went to my 'Games' Tab and launched my game only to get an error.

Could it be because I don't own the game myself? It's just because he's done the same on other friends consoles and it worked on their's the same way I did it but it's not for me

Reads disk every time but won't launch

Ok so my problem is whenever I try to play MW3 the console reads the disk first time but won't launch the game. I have the game installed to my harddrive and neither launching from the disk or launching from the harddrive will not work. The console spins
the disk up to speed and runs just the same as any other game but just gets frozen on a black screen. I have tries other games launching from disk and launching from hard drive and they all work fine. Even the scratched up ones.

Hi you might need to check if your console is in good quality if not you need to contact the sellers of your console and get a refund.

 

Sorry but games cannot be transferred from one owner to the other. As a matter of fact, what your friend has done is considered marketplace theft and could result in both his console and/or gamertag and yours being banned from the Live service if caught.

 

Yes, it's because you don't own the game itself. When you purchase a game from the marketplace you are given a license to use the game. Since you don't have a license, it won't work for you. If he did a license transfer on a friends console, then it would
have worked then. However, that is considered marketplace theft and can get both of them banned.
