Problem: Kinect is not recognized by main unit

Hello

I have console X BOX
ONE with Kinect - because the cable
to Kinect was too short,
I bought a Kinect adapter for
USB PC - so far the adapter works properly
- Kinect was connected to the adapter
and the adapter into a USB port on the back of
the console (kinect was
recognized by the system and worked properly)
- after an upgrade unfortunately kincet
stopped working - in some games it works properly
but it can not be set up and
the system displays information to connect
Kinect - please help, what might
be the cause - exclude defect of
devices because some games work
properly - I tested troubleshooting
described in the link: Kinect Sensor Isn't Recognized by Your Xbox One Console

It has not brought results

Kinect issues...again.

Hi there,

can you check this link, to see if it is the problem you are experiencing if so, then please try the steps that are mentioned as a possible solution:

support.xbox.com/.../kinect-sensor-not-recognized-by-console

If they don't work, you will need to request a repair for your Kinect sensor like mentioned on the link via
http://myservice.xbox.com. Depending on the country you are in you can still request repairs

Kinect and Headset break AGAIN!!!!

Hey there StayedVoice6314!

Sorry to hear about the Kinect sensor trouble. To check, have you tried connecting your Kinect sensor to your Xbox One without the USB adapter to see if there is any change in your performance? If not, try that for a short period to see if that clears up
the issue.

You can try this

Press console button 8 seconds then unplug from mains

Unplug Kinect

Plug console back into mains power on go into setting choose Kinect

Plug Kinect back into console wait for it to be recognized around 10 seconds then recalibrate

Press console button 8 seconds unplug from mains

Unplug Kinect from console

Plug console back into mains power up go into settings choose Kinect

Plug Kinect into console wait for it to be recognized about 10 seconds then calibrate Kinect

OK mate if this doesn't work it will need repair/exchanged

1 Unplug console from mains then unplug Kinect

2 Plug console back in and power up

3 Go to settings select Kinect

4 Plug Kinect into console wait for it to be recognized around 10 seconds recalibrate Kinect

Why not have allowed a AC adapter to power the Kinect, and have it Wifi direct back to the xbox main unit. And of coarse no options at launch for even an extension... even worse, cant use the TV functionality without the Kinect. Fail fail fail
