Problem in repairing Xbox One Power Supply

My name is Aashish Mathur. This post is big which shows that how much I have tried so far.

I bough Xbox One with Kinect sensor from Microsoft store along with four games on 23 October from Houston, Texas, US. After using it for few initial days its power supply stopped working (or may be console). I checked online and found that it may take more
than 7 days for repairing. But I had to return to India in 2 days so I didn't initiated it at that time.

After returning to India, I checked https://myservice.xbox.com on 27 October but the power supply was not available at India service center. I did online chat and the representative raised service request number 1267256335 for me. Then I called 000-800-440-1179
and gave them the service request number. The representative told me that the console is kind of new for India so the power supply is not available yet and suggested to check after few days. He told that as there is noting they can do right now so he will
be closing the service request number.

Since then I have been checking the availability of power supply on myservice.xbox.com but it is not available yet. I also tried to call contact number 044-30287938 of Ensure Services, which is India service center, but the number is not working. Recently I
also send an email (email to: *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. ***) to them but have not received any response yet.

If I try to process repairing of Kinect sensor or other accessories (like controller, headset etc.) it is processing successfully free of cost. This means that warranty of my Xbox is valid in India. Also replacement of these items are available; but why not
of power supply?

I am still not sure that the problem is with power supply or console. I have already installed many games in the console and don't want to do that again so I want repairing of power supply first. If it will not work then I will go for the console.

I am not able to use Xbox from 3 weeks now. Even if you repair it within 7 days, I would say that one month of its warranty period has wasted. Overall all my investments in Xbox One, Kinect and its games are useless now. Even I was planning
to try Xbox Live Gold for one month; I am glad that I didn't buy it.

I hope to get some response of this post and hope to get my Xbox repaired ASAP. Do arrange for the repair of power supply first. If it will be found working then I will go for the repairing of console. If you want you can pick both together from my home and
try to repair power supply first and then the console. Also let me know if Microsoft will extend warranty of my Xbox by one month which has wasted.

If you cannot repair it then take all the stuff and return my money.

Original Xbox 360 console no power solutions

If your Original Xbox 360 console doesn't turn on, follow the steps bellow:

Step 1

• Push the eject button.

If the console does not turn on, follow the next step.

Step 2

You need to check your power supply cable.

Here is how:

• First, you need to unplug the cords from the back of your console, the power supply, and the wall outlet.
• Now plug the power cords firmly back into your console, the power supply, and the wall outlet.
• You have to plug your console directly into a wall outlet. Never use a surge protector or an extension cord.
• Finally, press the power button on your console.

Still the console is not turning on!

Follow the next step:

Step 3

You need to check the power supply light.

***If the light is Green, your console needs to be repaired. You can submit an online repair by signing in into your account: Request a repair

***But If the Power Supply light is Red or Flashing Orange, follow the next step:

Step 4

Use a different wall outlet

The wall outlet you are using might be problematic. To check this, you can try a wall outlet in another room.

Here is how:

• First you need to unplug the power supply from the console and wall outlet.
• Then take your console and power supply to another room.
• Now reconnect the power supply cable to your console and the wall outlet.
• You must ensure that all of the power supply connections are firmly secured.
• Finally, press the power button to check out.

If your console turns on and the light on your power supply is green, the problem is solved. So, there is a problem at the previous outlet. Never plug your console back into that outlet until it is inspected and fixed.

But if the problem still exists, follow the step 5

Step 5

The power supply might have overheated. It should be cooled down.

Here is how:

• First, you need to unplug the power supply from the console and the wall outlet.
• You have to wait at least 30 minutes to let the power supply cool
• Note: The power supply should be in a well-ventilated space, and the ventilation openings on the power supply should not be covered.
• After cooling it down, reconnect the power supply to your console and plug it back into the wall outlet.
• You must ensure all of the connections are firmly secured.
• Finally, press the power button.

If the problem still exists, follow the step 6

Step 6

You should replace the power supply. You can order a replacement Xbox 360 power supply from Xbox Online Service Center. Your console must be registered to replace a power supply under warranty.

***If there is no light on your power supply, follow the steps 4 and 6.

***But if the light of the power supply is Orange, you should try another power supply to ensure whether the power supply working properly or not.

Note: Do not force a power supply plug into your console as all power supplies do not work with all Xbox 360 consoles.

If the problem still exists, the console needs to be repaired. You can submit an online repair request by signing in into your account: Request a repair

You bought your console in the US so if the power supply needs repair/ replaced it will be a US power supply you get back. as you have moved to India you will need to get a power supply that you can use in India the power supply used in the UK is the same
as India you would just need a plug adapter to use it.

 

I also wanted to mention that if there was an issue with the console only a few days after purchase you should have returned it to the store for an exchange. That would have been the fastest route for you.

You'll need to continue working with phone support to get it replaced. Hopefully they'll get you sorted out quickly.

 

Phone support does not help as their phone number is not working. Is there any other email address or phone number where I can contact?
