i have the same problem "when I boot up the game I'm disconnected. I press the middle X button on my controller and go to connect to xbox live and get the message "You have lost your connection to xbox live." i also do have gold and this is the only game

I have had the exact same problem, I was randomly disconnected in the middle of a game in NCAA Football 12, and I am unable to reconnect to Live. I have reset my connection, modem, and router, the factory settings on my Xbox, and forwarded all the necessary
ports, and it still will not connect.

Yes, I tried using the different HDMI ports.. but the connection bar on Xbox Live is still at 1 or 2.

Well, I started getting these disconnection problems while playing The Darkness II (This was once I setup my 360 on the new TV). Then I played Darksiders for a week and I only got disconnected once, the problems seemed to have been gone. But I just recently
have been playing Prototype 2 and I am now getting disconnected every 10 to 20 minutes. So, I doubt it's the games. The disconnection problems just seem to be random.

I don't think it's my modem, because my brothers PS3 connection seems to be fine. I'm assuming the new TV is somehow interfering with my connection (I have the Xbox 360 Slim and am using wireless).

Any other suggestions??!

I have the same problem, whenever I am using an online connection for a game, my wireless connections just randomly drops, could be as quick as 1 minute or as long as 45 minutes. Also my controller disconnects along with my wireless connection.

Installed AC4 from disc. Had a few problems loading the game originally, once I disconnected from Internet it downloaded within 20 minutes. Now, my problem is the update. The game will work and play when I am disconnected from network. But when I connect
it says AC4 needs and update (Getting Ready... Is displayed) then says "There was a problem with the update." It suggests that I check network connection (which is fine) CoD plays and connects to XBL with no problems. I know it isn't a problem with my end
of the network. Could it be that servers are just bogged? I guess that isn't in the troubleshooting logic tree...
