Problem Downloading Games Across Consoles

So my household has two Xbox 360's: one belongs to me, and the other to my brother. However, we both have accounts on each others consoles. Tonight, I was downloading one of my brother's games to my 360 from his download history. Everything went smoothly,
it even worked when launching it on his account. Then, I tried to play the game on my account, and the title wouldn't launch. I switched back over to my brother's account to check it, and it worked fine there. Do I have to be signed into his account to play
the game? If not, how do I access it on my account?

I cannot sign into my profile or download it.

No problem, I thought you had come across a problem downloading the profile. As I said its been an issue for lots of people recently.

you won't it has to have both accounts on the console that dowloaded it originally. if both accounts are on said console then both would have access to it.

On an Xbox 360 the content licensing works thusly:

The Xbox that has the license (the one that originally downloaded it OR had a license transfer done) can play the game.

The Xbox Account that bought the game can play the game, provided its signed into live.

If your console doesn't have the license, then the only way a game can be played is if his profile is signed in (you can play via your profile, but his must be signed in).

If you plan ahead, or move licenses around accordingly you can negate this issue.

Yes. As long as they are using the same account on both consoles then they can be played on either.

You can only do a licenses transfer once every 4 months you may have used this one after the repair, you'll need to contact support, they can help with manual licenses transfer issue's.
