Problem downloading Game Updates

Hi, guys. This is my first post here. I couldn't find a similar problem to mine anywhere else.

Here's what's happening: every time I have a game update, it takes a long time to download and install them. I normally go offline, put the disc on, complete the install, then I go online and check if there's any update. The problem is, even though the update
info says, for example, that its size is 2,2GB, it takes FOREVER for it to install. And it's not about my internet being slow (I mean, I don't have the best internet in the world, but I'm pretty positive that 2,2GB would not take 2 DAYS to download with a
6MB internet).

My point is: it looks like the game's being downloaded ALL OVER AGAIN, even though I have installed it from the disc. When I check the bandwidth usage in network settings, the console has already downloaded 20GB in the period after I started the update,
but the update with supposedly 2,2GB is barely at 20% progress. I mean, there's nothing else being downloaded, or any online play. It's pretty crazy.

The latest example of this happening was with Forza 6. My retail copy arrived, I installed the disc data offline, went online and then searched for updates. This 2,2GB update came up. I went to bed and left the console on intant-on (stand-by) downloading
during the night. When I woke up, the download was far from complete. It looks like it's downloading all the 45GB of the game that's already installed. It's still downloading the update as I write this. This also happened with Forza Horizon 2 numerous times.
Maybe it's a Forza related issue? Who knows...

If anybody knows anything, please, give me a heads up. I don't know if it's an issue with my console or if it's common and I'm not aware about it.

I have question regarding digital and physical copies of games.

Its going to install the game off the Disc, and download any updates fromt he servers.

Earlier games had a problem where the install time would take forever because it would download the Disc and the updates at the same time, but now they ask you if you want to download the updates while installing.

 

Update problem

Just bought the ghost recon Wildlands game and it tells me I need an update after I Finnish downloading the game. It keeps stoping the update download. I have tried restarting download and re downloading game, it still will not let me download this update.
****, is the problem. First game I have ever had trouble with downloading stuff too.
