My xbox one won't read discs.

Well...eventually it works after putting the game in and taking it out and putting it in for 10x. There is no reading error, it just says "insert disc" and the disc reader will only sometimes make minor sounds. I tried the hard reset thing and the problem still persists. Can anyone tell me what I can do to fix it? Or do I have no choice but to send it back to MS?

Downloading Fallout 3 on Marketplace (Questions & Concerns)

Try installing Fallout 3 to the HDD from a game disc & when you are playing the game & press the Eject button on the Optical Drive, what happens...??? Try it and let me know... Because I know you're wrong...

Have you tried a cleaning disc, as a speck of dust on the laser lens can cause disc read problems.

I use one on my 360 once a month and have never had a disc read error.

Just something I wanted to add: Even when a game is installed, it reads the disc to ensure you have the game in the drive. Failure to read the disc will pop up the Unreadable Disc error. It's the disc you have, not the installed game having a problem.

If it was down to a licence issue, the console will say it is unable to run or something, does not say "disc read error"

I had similar problem to this, and the problem was a corrupt HDD. Games that are stored on the bad portion of the HDD will imitate the disc read error. I bought my console from a GAME store, and they were able to swap the HDD, and then I have not had the
error since.

I have been having these problems since november. I've been having disc read errors with mw3 and assassins creed revelations and even when i went back to older games they are now bringing up the disc read errors!!! Xbox have been ignoring thousands of users
that are having these problems and its disgusting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

generally these sorts of problems are down to the discs themselves as oppose to an actual disc reading error, similar to when halo 3 had a similar problem, if your other games are working correctly then i would suspect the disc
