    Problem Connecting To Xbox Live


    Hey guys, I'm having a problem connecting to Xbox Live, it's kind of a weird situation. I own a black Xbox 360 and have a wireless network adapter. I just recently started having this problem where my Xbox would randomly disconnect from Xbox Live. It
    went from disconnecting every now and then to now where it can't even stay connected to Xbox Live for a good minute or so. I would say this problem started to happen after I switched over from Comcast Xfinity to Verizon Fios. (Not trying to say it's Verizon's
    fault, but I guess it could be.) I tried a few things like resetting the network settings and clearing the system cache. I also unplugged the Verizon Fios modem and the wireless network adapter, but it did not work. I tried running connection tests and it
    shows that the Xbox can't connect to my Wi-Fi. The error code is 80151904, something about not obtaining the IP Address. This used to never happen to me. Help is much appreciated.

    I'm having the exact same problem.....this is such f***ing BS. I'm connected to the internet...xbox live is working fine on the rest of the system, and yet I'm stuck in a permanent cycle of "Attention: this game requires a connection to Xbox Live" notice. This is ridiculous.

    To resolve this problem, try the following solutions.

    Solution 1: Clear the system cache

    Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings, and select System Settings.

    Select Storage.

    Highlight any storage device, and then press Y on your controller. (It doesn't matter which storage device you select; the cache will be cleared for all storage devices.)

    Select Clear System Cache.

    When prompted to confirm storage device maintenance, select Yes.

    Solution 2: Re-download your profile

    Press the Guide button on your controller, and then select Home.

    Select Download Profile.

    Note Not seeing Download Profile? Press X to sign out of your profile.

    Enter the Microsoft account associated with your Xbox Live gamertag. If you don’t know your Microsoft account or password, see Find your Microsoft account or password.

    Enter your Microsoft account password.

    Note If your account is an Xbox Live child account, the parent’s Microsoft account information is required to download the profile. Forgot your password? You can reset it.

    Select the storage device you want to use for your profile (for example, Hard Drive).

    Your profile will begin downloading. Once your profile is downloaded, you can choose whether or not you want to require your Microsoft account password to sign in to your profile.

    Solution 3: Reset your Xbox 360 console

    To reset your Xbox 360 console, follow these steps:

    Press the Guide button, go to Settings, and then select Turn Off Console.

    Turn on your Xbox 360 console.

    Note If you are using an Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, you can turn on the console by using the Guide button on the controller.

    If you keep having this problem, contact Xbox Support.

    the above message is what you can do to fix the error you are currently having. Again you can contact the support team if non of the solutions above help.
