Problem after redeeming code

Kindly sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders and validate if the code is redeemed from there. Once confirmed, go to your payment method via this link to check your Microsoft balance: https://account.microsoft.com/billing/payments

Once confirmed that it's there simply restart your device then try to use the balance again.

Same Problem. Was able to get the code but After redeeming it, in-game nothing.

You're showing as gold on the forums. When you log into
account.microsoft.com does the subscription show up on your account?

You could also try
deleting the account from the console and redownloading it.

My son wants to know that if he deletes his account from the console and redownloads it, will he still have all of his points etc.

As long as his account has been signed into Live, everything is saved on the servers. Just make sure he deletes his profile only. Otherwise he could lose his game saves and those can't be redownloaded.
