problem after full restore/offline

had many errors and problem today after a system update. I've managed to factory restore the xbox but upon initial set up I need to instal an update (3.6gb) all goes well until applying update upon applying my xbox restarts and gets stuck on applying update.

any help would be appreciated.

i have tried a offline update prier to factory restore and i've also tried one after. both times i get hit with the inital set up screen and have to do the 3.6gb update so im back to square one.

I tried downloading the update a few times but it just soft bricks the console on ‘applying update’ then ‘something went wrong’

Thanks for reaching out to us and responding. You can launch the Xbox Insider Hub on another console or on a Windows 10 PC and follow these same directions.

Launch the Xbox Insider Hub on your Xbox One or a Windows 10 PC.
On the main landing page, select Settings.
Select Manage devices and choose the one you want to remove from the program.
Select Done.

Note: This process typically takes about 10 minutes to complete. It might help to know the serial number or name of your previous console to ensure you remove the correct one.

As part of the removal process, your Xbox may undergo a factory refresh. If a factory refresh is required, your games and apps won’t be erased, but any profiles or system settings saved to the console will need to be restored after the refresh
is complete.

thank you very much, after hours and hours of researching and resetting ect.. this actually worked

for other people experiencing this problem. this 100% worked. as soon as i opted out of insiders i turned my xbox on and an update applied. xbox restarted and inital set up screen came up, continued through it (no addition update) and now everything works
fine (i do have to download 52 games again though but i'd rather that haha)

I have just removed my console from the insider. How long does it typically take ? Should my xbox be on and connected to the internet ?

hi, yes I am part of the preview program.

after doing all of the above and continuing with the initial set up, i am hit with the 3.6gb update, after its downloaded and verified my xbox resets and sits on applying update for a while then pops up 'something went wrong' with system error e100. I have
no idea what to do from here onwards.

(i use a wired connection)
