    Problem adding friends - Recurrent issue


    What is the fix for the problem finding friends on the XBOx One? This issue has been posted several times and there has been no solution to it.

    When you search for a gamertag the following is the message that is received.

    "We could not find that person

    Check the gamertag and try searching again. (0x87c40006)

    Do they just not care anymore?

    never ran into a mod or hack in BO2, your connection seems the problem if it is such a recurrent issue OP...

    Adding friends problem

    when i try and add friends i get the "cant save your changes right now, try again later" notification. It says the same thing on my xbox app also. Friends list space isnt an issue so im not sure if this is just me or if it is a known problem.

    Also i found a post from 2y ago of this exact thing so im hoping that same problem then is happening now so it can be fixed.

    Hi Casanova86!

    Couple of things might be causing this issue you're having. Is it possible you've mistyped your friend's Gamertag?

    If you're certain it's the correct Gamertag are you able to visit friends by hovering over your GT at the top right of this page and select 'Friends' and then search for the Gamertag? If so, do you get an error there?

    I too had this same issue. Restarting my xbox solved it for me. (Although when I restarted I had to go reconnect to my wifi, so that may have been the fix too).

    With this error code, we're certain we're spelling it correctly. I even tried to find myself and it gave me the error.

    Hi Casanova86!

    Actually the service alert was solved so try removing the account from the console, doing a hard restart, hold the power button for 10 seconds while the system is on, and then re-adding the account. After that keep using the service as normally.
    Actually, this is either a recurrence or a new problem. Tried what you said above and still having the same issue
