Problem adding a game to my queue

I just installed my first Xbox. I also have a game pass. When I select a game to install (for example using the Game Pass app on my phone), I get a message that says, "We can't add this to your queue right now." I don't know what this means to me. Does it
mean that I need to do some additional step in the setup? Advice welcome...

Thanks for your post. I understand you are experiencing an issue with adding games to your queue from your Xbox mobile app. To set up remote installations, check out this article:

Thanks for your note. I did notice that I hadn't enabled remote installations on my Xbox. However, that didn't appear to help, at least not right away (is there a delay before it takes effect?). I still got the message "We can't add this to your queue right
now."

I am able to install the game directly from the Xbox (i. e., not remotely).

Hey Clemo,

Once you preorder the game, the game will be added to your My Games queue, where it should then download from straight away

Its automatic, and just like if you were to buy a new current game, so you shouldn't need to actually do anything other then buy
the preorder, and it will be added to your queue
