    Problem accessing child's settings


    Hi,

    In short, I'm unable to see my son's GamerPic on my Xbox "Privacy & Online Safety" page, so I'm unable to allow him to add friends (he is trying to set up Minecraft PE Realms).

    My gamertag is (I never changed the default), and my son's is ThunderStrikeJ -- as far as I can tell our accounts are linked. I paid the Online Age Verification fee, and that seemed to work.

    Being able to update his Xbox settings is the main issue, but in a side issue, the "Chat" and "Request Call" pages don't populate with my name, and as they're both mandatory and read-only, the pages won't let me click 'Submit'!

    Can't Send Friend Requests on Child Account

    Because it is a child's account, you may need to enable friend requests in the online safety settings.

    Microsoft gives the parents the control over what their kids play, you go into settings, and you can set up the child settings and restrict what ratings for movies, tv shows, music, and games can be accessed by the child account. If you want your child to play a game that's rated M, then set it to that. Want the child restrictions turned off, then do that. The power is in your hands.

    Have you checked the restrictions on the child account?

    The default settings may be restricting what apps or movies the child account has access to.

    Hopefully this is the issues and is easily resolved, but if it's not hopefully we can find out what the problem is!

    You have an option to set up parental controls on child accounts. If it's not a child account why does your child have access to it?
