Problem about friends list and other things!

Recently I played with someone who I had a lot of fun with online on the Xbox 360, so like any other normal person I decided to add this person as a friend. The problem is however, that this person has 9 friends yet when I attempted to add the person it
said, "their" friends list was full, like HOW the hell does that make any sense? (NO! My friends list isn't full either, not on 360 or One)

This was on the 31/7/2015, and I recently checked their account to find that it now says "Offline", but only a day before I saw the status "Last online 3 hours ago."

It went like this as I tried over three days to add them:

11/8/15 - Last seen on 7/31

12/8/15 - Last online 3 hours ago

13/8/15 - "Offline"

(P.S - This was all on Xbox 360 but I believe if someone signs in or off on Xbox One it changes the Xbox 360 status hence the, "Last online 3 hours ago." This leads to the next part of my question!)

Xbox One:

I have added the player on Xbox One but I haven't been added back. Also on their Xbox One profile, it permanently says, "Offline" and there is no activity whatsoever, no change in gamerscore, no new games, clips... Absolutely jack all, but for some reason
I believe the person is playing the One

Has this person privatized their account, disabled people adding them and is this person appearing offline?

I know this is very badly written but I tried

Hi Clone, you find nothing unnatural about anything he does? The best thing is go through your friends list and also the top 20 in the CoD 3 ranked lists besides the points matchers and ask them, as they have all encountered the same thing. I also suggest
you ask them about the other gamer tags he used.

Xbox one won't load up my profile or my friends list .

I just bought my xbox one yesterday and ink having the exact same problem. It won't kiss my profile or my friend list and other things on that same page. Can you help?

Sorry to hear that you're upset. However, the person you've tried to add may have the add friends settings disabled via parental settings. This will disable your ability to add people as well as them being able to add friends without parental permission.

As for the issue with the Xbox One, a person is not obligated to add you as a friend even though you've added them.

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

I have here steps that we can try, please perform an extended powercycle and reset your network hardware by following the steps below:

1. Unplug the power cable from the back of the router, modem, or gateway for 5 minutes. If you have a router and a modem, unplug the power cable from both devices.

2. Press and hold the Xbox button on your console for 10 seconds or until it turns off then wait for 2 minutes before turning it on again.

3. After 5 minutes, plug the modem or gateway in first, and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

4. If you are using a router, plug in the router and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

If that didn't work resetting the console keeping games and apps will be the next option. Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

Reset and keep my games & apps.

As others have suggested, edit your privacy settings and set things so that only friends are allowed to message you, see your friends list and see your online status. Problem solved.

I'm starting to see reports of gamers for their friends list - missing friends or similar problems with friends and groups

In my case, I'm experiencing missing friends. Right now I only have "7 friends" but I remember to have more.
Probably this is a current or temporary outage.

Please try waiting couple minutes or an hour, if the issue persist please report this problem via the Status page:
