Probation? Are U Kidding Me??

It's taken me over 2-3 years of playing COD/BO2 to get my 213K kills. I've never had any issue relating to PROBATION until today. This is ridiculous & indicates how out-of-touch MS is relative to the behavior that prompts their bot to issue said Probation.
Here's my crime.

Of course, BO2 is an older game, but thankfully, still active on MSN servers designed for 360 games. So, by now, there are a lot of scripts or "cheats" for it & they appear frequently. Just a couple of weeks ago, somebody jacked the game I was in and indicated
I was "being punished" for something and the result was they reset my "score per minute" back to zero. MS sends me an email, apologizing but saying they salvaged my other stats. Ok.

Today, I got so tired of it and now that I know these idiots can screw with my stats & my data, when I see one of these aim-bot or other, OBVIOUSLY bogus players, rather than face deletion of more data (or worse) I just leave the room. Today, I was in
a game that manipulated weapons, another that did not require you to see or aim at anything in order to kill and I was in a game whereby a player had SWARM and DOGS barely 10 seconds into the game. Yesterday, I was in a game where each kill was worth 10K
points. It's ridiculous but the best option seems to be to just leave.

Today, I got a PROBATION warning advising me of further punishment, beyond the 5-min timeout, would come to me if I continue to leave games early. So, MS is demanding that I stay in that room with obvious cheaters/manipulators/criminals/idiots and take
whatever they dish out, including changing my stats, rather than just leave to protect myself. Shame on MS as I ALWAYS finish a game unless something very important arose during play.

Is there a way to get MS to realize the degree of cheating and not penalize people for just wanting a CLEAN game?

Unfortunately DW_7 from what you are describing it sounds like you are dealing with a double edged sword. Both instances you describe are two separate issues that can't be linked together no matter if it is unfair in the situation.

1. Cheating is absolutely frowned up on and you should never hesitate to go through the proper channels and report the gamertag both in game (if available) and through xbox for any of the stuff you described above.

2. There needs to be probation or some form of penalty for people leaving games in order to avoid the "gaming" of the ranking system.

Just because #1 is out of control it doesn't negate the importance of keeping #2 intact. I know that doesn't seem the "fair" answer in your situation but the best you can do is report the folks breaking rule #1 and making sure you stay in line with rule
#2 to avoid those probation penalties.

As others have said it sounds like something that the developers of the game have put in place to discourage leaving games early. So the way I see it, you can continue to quit these games to protect yourself, or risk your stats, or stop playing all together,
and as always be sure to report those that are using cheats.

That definitely sounds like a Treyarch/Activsion penalty rather than a Microsoft penalty. I stopped playing that game awhile ago just for the reasons that you are describing. I would get the timed ban within the game when I would leave too often in order
to escape the modders. It's frustrating I agree, but if you are still wanting to go into multiplayer lobbies rather than private matches unfortunately you are going to be faced with making those decisions and the possibilities of being punished for it. Sorry
that you are encountering this, but like I said these are exactly why I refuse to buy COD titles anymore.

I believe that what you are referring to is not action taken by the Xbox Enforcement Team for breach of the Terms of Service/ Code of Conduct. From
what you are describing, this sounds like something the developer/publisher have implemented to ensure you comply with the terms of service you would have accepted and agreed too when you first started playing multiplayer COD games.

What you are describing is a penalty that Activision hands out through their own Call of Duty Servers.

Microsoft has no saying in this. You will have to
contact the Activision support for your Probation and the issues you experience in the game.

You should however still report the cheating accounts you encounter with the console's reporting feature. Bring up the Gamertag profile of the cheater, and use the reporting feature on the profile page to report that account.

Microsoft can then take measures to get the account and even the hacked console banned from Xbox Live.
