    Hello,

    My two sons make purchases weekly that result in charges on the credit card we have attached to our Xbox Live account.. I want them to stop. They don't. Usually they think what they are downloading is free.

    I could just take the console away, and I probably should. But I prefer not to.

    Is there any way for us to keep the Xbox console attached to the internet WITHOUT having a credit card attached to the account? This would help a lot. It would save us hundreds of dollars in fact.

    Also, as long as the card is not attached to an active gold subscription you can remove the card. You can use prepaid gold subscription cards if they do want to play online.
