Privacy Settings

At random times, my custom privacy settings keep blocking themselves, and when I try to reset them back to what they were, it will keep saying "There is a problem with the service. Please try again." for a few attempts.

Try going in your privacy/parent settings an make it that you can view anything

 

I have the same problem except that when I want to keep my online block it keep resetting to everybody...it is like does not save my changes .. I keep calling about but seems like nobody knows what is wrong.. I even did a factory reset and still having same

Many thanks I also wanted to do a factory reset but because of you changed my mind to do it.

 

Can you walk through the exact steps of what you do, what happens versus what you expect to happen? Also, it may be best for each of you to start your own thread just in case there's a small chance the solution could be slightly different. It'll be less
confusing in the long run.

After a big update (November 13) I cant even get access to my privacy settings on Xbox One. It permanently writes: "There is a problem with the servise. Please try again".

My console is a Home console, there is only my adault account, no family or children accounts.

My privacy settings is custom, not default.

I can get access to them throught the web site. But when I try to change settings the site doesnt want to save them.

Also I have Xbox 360 and it seems fine with privacy settins on it - I can get access to them, change and save them normaly.

Just another word: I can normaly purschase games via my credit card, play it an so on. I cant only get access to privacy options on my Xbox One.

This thread is old, and the Original Poster may have found a solution to their problem. That being said, forums work better when you have your own thread which will allow you to mark a response as answer.

In terms of this problem. To change privacy settings, please:

1. Go to: Sign in to your Microsoft account,
   
2. Click onto Profile,
3. Select Privacy Settings
4. Sign into your Microsoft Account again, and complete security challenge if it asks you to,
   
5. You will now be presented with a page Privacy and Online Safety,
6. and change away

same here except whenever I try to chat or play with friends it says ur Xbox account is not set up available to do this pls check privacy settings
