Privacy settings

Hello,

The last few hours I've been trying to change my privacy settings of my account.

Me and some friends wanted to try out Minecraft Bedrock edition today.

I tried joining them but everytime it said that I have to change something in the

privacy settings. So in the xbox app I found a link to change the privacy settings.

I clicked on it and it immediately redirected me to another page which says

that only parents can do this. I checked my microsoft account and it said that I'm a parent.

And here I'm stuck.

cant get back to my games. had 10 going on now says my xbox privacy settings have to be adjusted . out of nowhere . help

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. Was the birthday of the account changed at any point in time? This message appears when a child account must be tied to a parent account in order to update privacy settings. We recommend attempting to log
in to
our website with your account. Once you have logged into the website, there will be an option to change privacy and online safety settings. If you need to set up a Microsoft family, we recommend utilizing the

family section of the Microsoft website. Be sure to let us know the results!

when I try to play minecraft and it keeps saying I have to change my privacy settings, I can't find no place to change my settings and when I visit the website there is no way for me to change my settings. This is a rip off.

This thread is old, and the Original Poster may have found a solution to their problem. That being said, forums work better when you have your own thread which will allow you to mark a response as answer.

In terms of this problem. To change privacy settings, please:

Go to: https://account.xbox.com,
Click onto Profile,
Select Privacy Settings
Sign into your Microsoft Account again, and complete security challenge if it asks you to,
You will now be presented with a page Privacy and Online Safety,
and change away

I have the same problem except that when I want to keep my online block it keep resetting to everybody...it is like does not save my changes .. I keep calling about but seems like nobody knows what is wrong.. I even did a factory reset and still having same
problem
