    Privacy settings preventing chat


    My son was playing his xbox one today, like any other day and mid-game he became unable to talk to people. Now when he tries to log in and go to his park, he is told he doesn't have the required account privileges. When he tries to talk it says his privacy
    settings prevent chat with some people. He can't chat with anyone and the chat settings are set to adult. Any suggestions? We've powered off and still nothing.

    Xbox is preventing me from accessing my privacy settings and privacy settings is preventing me from talking in the party for whatever reason it's suddenly started doing that

    Sorry to hear about the issue. There were some Xbox Live Core Service issues yesterday that affected party chat and messaging. We believe those issues to be resolved at this point.

    Is your account an adult or a child account? Could be privacy settings that are preventing you from in game chat.

    Hey there!

    Firstly log into Xbox.com and click on Xbox Settings, then check your Privacy Settings to make sure you can communicate with everyone. Secondly i know it sounds silly but make sure your friends dont have you muted or even blocked.

    Thirdly, check your network settings to ensure that is not effecting it. Fourthly is none of that works or helps then follow the Xbox One Multiplayer Game Solution here:
