Privacy Settings - Child/Custom Account Always Requires Adult Account to be Logged on

I currently have 2 accounts set up on my xbox

Account 1 - Adult Account with subscription to xbox live and billing details

Account 2 - Custom Account with restrictions but the option to play online games enabled

Xbox One is powered off -

Account 2 logs on to play an online game e.g. Minecraft / PvsZ

    Access is denied.

The problem is resolved if Account 1 (protected by a passkey) is logged into and then log back into Account 2.

    :)

  2. One of my security settings is preventing me from accessing Forge and Custom Games in Halo 5

If your account is set as Child or Teenager in Privacy, Family settings you will not be able to access Halo 5's Forge or Custom Games. An XBOX Live account must be Adult to access that content.

Can't change my privacy setting for joining clubs

If your account is registered as a child, no matter your actual age, it will always require the parental account to make changes on the privacy settings

Following a call to the Xbox One Support line the problem has been resolved.

Effectively Account 1 was not marked as the 'Home Xbox' -

    Settings

    My Xbox

    Set as home Xbox

Setting Account 1 as the Home Xbox solved the problem.

The reason the account was configured in this way was Account 2 was set up first on Xmas morning for my son as he was so keen to play. (Note to Microsoft Xbox UX and Analysts).

In addition the support from the Xbox line support team was first rate, superb customer service.

Following a call the Xbox live support team the problem is solved.

Setting Account 1 to be the 'Xbox home account ' solved the issue.

Select, Settings, My Xbox One, Set as home Xbox.

The reason the account were configured in this way is Accounts 2 (my sons account) was the first I set up on Xmas morning and therefore defaulted to be the xbox home account (note to Microsoft Analysts)

Many thank to the help from the Xbox One Support team, superb customer service.
