Privacy settings blocking party chat when privacy settings are set to allow all communication

Literally all of my privacy settings are set to allow communication with everyone, yet I cannot speak or hear others in party or game chat. I’m getting really sick of Xbox One not working for no apparent reason.

Xbox one live chat party

whenever I join a Xbox live party it says your privacy settings do not allow you to chat with people in the party. Then in my privacy settings all options are set to everybody... what can I do the chat with friends.

I can't speak or listen in on xbox live partys because my "Privacy settings prevent chat with some people" but my settings are set to allow me to speak. I use the adult privacy settings default. I have reset the xbox multiple times, I have tried making my
privacy settings more open. It is nothing to do with my headset as it says the "privacy settings" message at the top of the party menu with or without it plugged in. I switched to an different account, it worked, i could speak using the exact same console
and microphone. I also know that it has nothing to do with blocking communications with others because the privacy settings message still appears when in a party alone. I can speak in game chat still, I just cant use xbox live partys whatsoever, I can only
join.

 

Yeah man I have the same problem than you. My xboxs says when Im creating a party or joining: your privacy settings prevent chat with some people". I've tried to open port forwarding on router, UPnP direction, dmz servers, but is all OK, and the problem
persists. I hope anyone can help us.

The most common reason for this is that your profile is being shared only with friends, change this to everyone, and it should work.

Many games now need your profile to be public to everyone so they can use it.
