Privacy & Safety settings different between Xbox and Website

I've been trying to Mixer stream on my Xbox for a while, but I have not been able to despite my Xbox Privacy Settings say that I had Broadcast Gameplay set to Allow. Today I learned that on the Xbox website my Broadcast Gameplay has been set to Block.
I checked my Xbox again and it still says Allow. I've tried changing the setting on the website but it just resets itself to Block. Through multiple tests I have discovered that I can change other Privacy Settings on the website, and a different account is
able to Mixer Stream on my Xbox. I can make another account for streaming games, but I would prefer if someone could help me fix it so that I can use my own.

    :)

怎样更改子女的xbox隐私与安全设置? [Edit - Translation] - How do I change my child's xbox privacy and security settings?

    Hello there,

This should help you change the privacy settings to your child account. This link will help you change them through consoles and through the website :

Xbox online safety and privacy settings for parents and children

    Hope this helps!

I removed and re-added my profile to see what settings it pulled and on the Xbox it still said Allow, I went back to the website to check what it said and it was still Block. I tried changing it on the website again and it when I clicked "submit," it either
refreshed the page with the setting on "Block" or I received an "unknown error." Xbox services are up and working properly so it isn't that.

    Hello Xwarrior4,

Thank you for keeping us updated. Is the account that is attempting to be used with Mixer a child account? If the account is a child account, it may not be allowed to stream on Mixer. The
Mixer Support Team will answer any questions regarding which accounts are able to stream on their platform. Be sure to let us know the results!

The account being used is an adult account but it was originally a child account. I also receive errors when I try to stream with twitch on Xbox as well.

    Hey Xwarrior,

Did this account graduate naturally from a child account to an adult account or was there a birthday change attempt? You can change the birthdate to the Microsoft account but it will not change the birthdate that was entered originally to the Xbox profile.

In other words, a child account will remain a child account until it graduates naturally to an adult account. No way around it.

It should have been a natural graduation, I am unaware of any attempts to change the birthdate if that could have caused an error

If it helps, I am 20 years old and this is a legitimate adult account

  11. Hi Warrior,

Thanks for reaching out and keeping us updated! We appreciate the information and efforts in trying to resolve this situation. So when trying to Mixer Stream it says it is blocked due to privacy settings and shows that on the website as
well? I would recommend trying to
    remove and re-add the profile
onto the console. Check to see if the settings show blocked or allow afterwards.

    Side Note:
It is very important to make sure you know the primary email/password to the account before removing it from the
    console.

To check the email being used with the gamertag, go to
    Settings > Account > sign-in, security & passkey;
in middle column at the top it will say "show on home" if it is checked it will rotate from gamertag and email on homepage. If it is not check marked, it
    will show in this box.

If this does not help then please try to sign into another Microsoft account, then add the first account as an "Adult" family member. From there, try to see if it is possible
to change the settings and save them this way. Also, please try another device to see if it is possible to change the
Online Safety and Privacy Settings like a phone, tablet, console etc.

Thank you. I hope this helps! Privacy & Safety settings different between Xbox and Website :)

I removed my account from my Xbox and re-added it, but the setting still read "Allow" for Broadcasting on the console but "Block" on the website and I still can't change it on the website. Should I attempt to remove all instances of my account from any
Xbox's that I have signed into or is that irrelevant?

Hey Xwarrior thanks for the reply and for the patience!

As previously stated by fellow XBF Jasmine Z please try to sign into another Microsoft account, then add the first account as an "Adult" family member. From there,
try to see if it is possible to change the settings and save them this way. Also, please try another device to see if it is possible to change the
Online Safety and Privacy Settings like a phone, tablet, console etc.
If however that doesn't work then we suggest
    Requesting a Callback
from one of our Xbox Support Specialists so we can deeper investigate the issue with the account. Give it a shot and let us know if we can further assist in this or any other issue!
