Prioritizing frame rate

Discus and support Prioritizing frame rate in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I bought a a Xbox one X a month ago and still have no idea how to do this prioritize frame rate feature that’s I keep hearing about.     Prioritizing frame rate


    I bought a a Xbox one X a month ago and still have no idea how to do this prioritize frame rate feature that’s I keep hearing about. It never popped up when I first turned on the system and I can’t find it anywhere in the settings. Can anyone point me to
    the right menu?

    How am I lying?

    My monitor refreshes 60 times per second.

    I can lock frame rate to 30 frames per second via command console.

    I can lock frame rate to 60 frames per second via command console.

    I can see the difference between the game running at 30 fps and 60 fps.

    You think my system is suffering from rate drops.

    The frame rate tracker says my game is running at constant 30 fps when I lock it to 30.

    The frame rate tracker says my game is running at constant 60 fps when I lock it to 60.

    The frame rate tracker says my game is running at constant 299 fps when I don't lock the frame rate (it is unlocked by default).

    The frame rate tracker disagrees with your hypothesis that my system is suffering from frame rate drops.

    Where is the lie?

    Dark Souls 2

    No frame rate drops. The first game is pretty awful at maintaining fixed frame rate.

    When playing Xbox One games it is left up to the individual game developers to decide what enhanced features they add to the game and if they let you choose in the individual game settings what to preference. An example of this is the games The Witcher 3
    and Elite Dangerous where in the game settings menu you are given the option to prioritize framerate or graphics where games like Forza Motorsport 7 are enhanced but do not provide user adjustable setting.

    How to Run Xbox 360 Games at 60 FPS?

    Refresh rate and frame rate are two different things. HDMI does not make everything run at a frame rate of 60FPS.

    Frame rate??

    Clear cache in your Xbox console.

    How to do it?

    1. Turn on your XBOX
    console

    2. Press & hold Power button for
    10 seconds

    3. After 10 second Xbox will be immediately shutdown

    4. Turn on your XBOX again

    5. That's all
