    Prince of Persia - Backward Compatibility


    Hello,

    I don't know if it is the right place to ask and if any member of the Xbox Staff will see this, but I'll post it anyway.

    Would it be possible to modify the list of backward-compatible games so it can tell which Prince of Persia can be played on the Xbox One?

    Yesterday, I went to a local videogame store to look at the X360 games with the list of backward-compatible. I see Prince of Persia on the list (the text one), I look and there is one used copy on the shelf (the 2008 version, the one in cel shading). I look
    at the box, it looks pretty good, seems like a good game, so I pick it up. I came back home and insert the disk in my Xbox One. I was very disappointed to be welcomed with a nice error message stating this game is not playable on the Xbox One. Confused, I
    went to the store and found out that the only Prince of Persia available is "Prince of Persia Classic", even though the "Classic" is not mentionned in the list. Because I don't have a Xbox 360 console, the game I bought is pretty much useless, I can only hope
    it becomes backward-compatible one day.

    That being said, I would suggest you to edit the list and make it clear that it is only the "Classic" Prince of Persia that is backward compatible. I am probably not the first one to "fall into that trap" and I probably won't be the last either.

    Are you trying to play the more recent Prince of Persia title? The Prince of Persia title that is backward compatible isn't available on disc, it's the remake of the classic that was

    released digitally     on the Xbox 360. The more recent Prince of Persia game isn't currently backward compatible.

    Hey, Gooz! There are two different versions of Prince of Persia on the 360, and there is some confusion around this. It sounds like you've purchased

    Prince of Persia    , and that game is not backwards compatible at this time. The version that is backwards compatible is the

    Prince of Persia Classic     game. This is the one that you will want to purchase if you want to use it on your Xbox One.
